I was thrilled to find this archive. For the first couple weeks I used text to speech while I drove, and it was the normal Siri voice that I always listen to. Now suddenly it is a different voice, one with an Australian accent that I can barely comprehend. It doesn’t seem to be a setting on my phone. Is there a way to change it? Thanks.

Hey, I am sorry I may be really late but if you click on the en-UK (or en-US) it should come up three options for English.

i have heard of this before and i honestly haven't a clue. afaik the archive read-aloud only has one voice, no options, and is definitely not an australian accent. i would look at other preferences on your devices to see if that is what is responsible.

do please let us know if you figure out what's going on.

I had the reading voice shift from the natural voices on the edge browser
to Microsoft David which is much more robotic and unpleasant. This happened at the same time as the 7/23/2021 update on the Edge browser. I still can use the natural voices options on other websites. What is needed is a way to adjust the voice options on the Archive reader. Is there any way to do this?

it is due to an update of your OS. i do not have specific instructions but it is a preference on your device, not some change on archive.org
